Hundreds of school-age children thronged the field area to rejoice in the 2022 Benjeng Scout Movement Branch Jamboree.
Present at this activity were Deputy Regent Aminatun Habibah who is also the elder brother of the Kwartir branch of the Gresik Scout movement. Together with the Vice Regent, the Camat Benjeng Siti Sulichah and the Muspika of Benjeng Sub-district were also present, the Scoutmaster/assistant from Kwaran Benjeng, as well as school/madrasah and village heads in the Benjeng sub-district.
The Vice Regent’s arrival was warmly welcomed with a beautiful colossal dance from UPT SDN Kalipadang, the Vice Regent and the audience clapped their hands as an expression of appreciation for each dance session. Before opening the Jamboree, the Vice Regent conveyed his message. He revealed that the Jamboree activity is a form of educational recreational activity in the open, as well as a means of coaching Scouts that focuses on the self-development of participants in the mental, physical, intellectual, spiritual and social fields, both as individuals and as members of the community.
“This branch jamboree is also a means of learning and practicing independently in the life of society and the state. This provision is very important, considering that we have entered the era of globalization and modernization and the rapid development of information technology which will be dangerous if we do not have strong provisions,” explained Vice Regent.
In that purpose, the Deputy Regent explained that our efforts certainly do not stop at the Jamboree, we need the participation of various parties, both from Scout leaders, regional officials and the community.
Not only opening the Jamboree activity, the Vice Regent’s presence was also to inaugurate the members of the Benjeng Scout Movement for the 2022-2025 period. With the official inauguration of the board, it is hoped that it will further increase the activity and achievements of the Scout movement in Gresik Regency in general, and in Benjeng District in particular.
