The kites were flown in the 2022 Dohoagung Kite Festival which was held by the Dohoagung team in collaboration with Talikama East Java in a rice field area, Dohoagung Village, Balongpanggang District, Gresik Regency. This local and national level festival lasts for two days, Saturday and Sunday, September 24-25, 2022.
Furthermore, East Java Talikama Chairman Adim said that his party continues to strive to preserve traditional games, especially kites through the 2022 Dohoagung Kite Festival at the Local and National levels.
This festival activity was attended by approximately 50 kite activists from several inter-provincial regions in the country with rotating trophies and a total of tens of millions of prizes.
As for the kites with the general traditional category and the traditional Dohoagung category, then followed by 2-dimensional kites, mini dragon trends, creation trends, and giant dragon themes ranging in diameter from 50 and above. There are 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, traditional, dragon train classes etc.
Meanwhile, one resident of Dohoagung Saiful admitted, “This festival will be a space as well as a place for Gathering between provinces in the country, especially kite activists and lovers, in caring for and introducing indigenous culture to the younger generation,” said Saiful. The 3rd overall winner was won by Febrian Aria Pratama with participant number 901 from Sukoharjo, the second winner was won by Jati Mas Wawan with participant number 908 Sekar Wangi Jogjakarta, the first winner was won by Subianto with participant number 904 from Bojonegoro. (DOD) .
