Gresik https://mediarestorasiindonesia.co.id/wp-admin Indonesia August 29, 2025 In the spirit of compassion and solidarity, the Indonesian grassroots organization Gerakan Masyarakat Bawah Indonesia (GMBI) District Gresik once again demonstrated its social commitment by providing support to 100 orphans and underprivileged families.
The event, held on Friday evening at GMBI’s district headquarters in Purworejo Hamlet, Metatu Village, Benjeng Subdistrict, was part of the organization’s regular weekly activities leading up to the commemoration of Mawlid al-Nabi Muhammad SAW 1447 H.
Faith, Gratitude, and Care for Others
The evening began with Islamic prayers, chants of praise (shalawat), and a spiritual sermon to honor the Prophet Muhammad as a role model of mercy and kindness. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, emotion, and togetherness.
Speaking at the event, Muh. Hudin, S.Pd., Head of GMBI District Gresik, emphasized that the initiative reflects gratitude and love for the Prophet while strengthening social bonds.
“This movement is born from pure social awareness. It is not funded by large institutions or government budgets, but from member contributions and voluntary donors. It proves that kindness does not need power—it only needs sincerity,” Hudin stated.
A Message from Indonesia to the World
Hudin further underlined that commemorating the Prophet’s birth is not only about religious ritual but also about translating his teachings into real action:
“Prophet Muhammad taught compassion for all humanity. This small act of giving is our way of following his footsteps—reminding us that solidarity has no boundaries.”
Grassroots Solidarity in Action
The program, which included evening prayers, community gatherings, and the distribution of aid, concluded with smiles and joy on the faces of the children. For many, it was not just about financial assistance but also about feeling seen, cared for, and valued.
Through this initiative, GMBI Gresik hopes to inspire broader participation in strengthening the culture of sharing, humanity, and solidarity—values that resonate far beyond Indonesia’s borders.(Red).
